Join us for a day packed full of adventure on our new excursions ‘The Sea Train.’ Your ticket includes a 1 hour 15 minute Sea Voyage, 30 minute Steam Train journey and 20 minute bus ride.
Available from 1st May to 30th September, every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. EVERY DAY between 1st July and 31st August.
Book this excursion on the day at Torquay harbour side on the slipway outside the tourist information centre.
Option 1 – Sea Voyage first
Catch the boat to Dartmouth from Haldon Pier in Torquay at 10:30hrs or 13:45hrs**. Explore the historic town of Dartmouth before getting the foot passenger ferry to Kingswear station for a Devonshire Cream Tea in the Belle Bistro, (not included in ticket price), before boarding the steam train to Paignton. Return to Torquay on Stagecoach bus No12 every 15 minutes from the bus station.

Stagecoach bus No12 from Torquay to Paignton, (every 15 minutes from The Strand/harbour). Enjoy a steam train journey from Paignton to Kingswear. Catch the foot passenger ferry to Dartmouth and explore the town before boarding the boat from The Embankment at 12noon** or 15:15hrs for the return Sea Voyage to Torquay.
Stagecoach bus No12 from Torquay to Paignton, (every 15 minutes from The Strand/harbour). Enjoy a steam train journey from Paignton to Kingswear. Catch the foot passenger ferry to Dartmouth and explore the town before boarding the boat from The Embankment at 12noon** or 15:15hrs for the return Sea Voyage to Torquay.
**will not depart at this time on 12 & 13 June, 12, 13, 30 & 31 July, 13 & 14 August due to our Pirate Pete Days in Dartmouth.
Option 3 – Boat Train, (if Sea Train is cancelled)
If the Sea Train is unable to operate due to bad weather or sea conditions, your ticket will be immediately transferred to a superior ‘Boat Train’ ticket. Catch Stagecoach No 12 bus to Paignton, enjoy a steam train ride to Kingswear, foot passenger ferry to Dartmouth and 1 hour River Dart cruise. Return to Paignton by steam train and then onto Torquay by Stagecoach No 12 bus. This arrangement is to ensure that whatever the weather your day out with us is secure, (exchange your ticket at the Kiosk at the top of the ramp in Dartmouth for your return coupon).

This excursion is sea condition and weather dependent. Please call our Days Out advisors on 01803 555872 on the morning of departure to check that this excursion is running, alternatively please check-in with our kiosk adjacent to the Tourist Information Centre on Torquay Harbour. We will try our utmost to run, however we will put your safety and comfort first.
