English Riviera Walking Festival

On 6th June 2026 to 21st June 2026

Located in South Devon and (the towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham) The English Riviera is a walker’s paradise. It has a very sheltered position, mild climate and numerous walking trails through woodlands, along winding coastal paths and hidden tracks. It provides the perfect destination for walkers of all abilities.

The South West Coastal Path meanders along this coastline and also holds the accolade for being an UNESCO Geopark. There are 140 Geoparks in the World and Torbay is the only seaside resort with this status.

This Walking Festival (in its second year) offers a mix of walks and talks that will entertain and inform in equal measure. The walks are hosted by experienced tour guides, but the web site also contains a selection of self-guided walks which you can enjoy at your own leisure.

Reviews

  • Sights and smells - Cannot beat the smell and sound of a steam locomotive, a very scenic ride firstly along the beach, then along the river Dart. A couple of hours in Dartmouth then all aboard for trip back.
  • Great!! - We all had such a fantastic day out. From the wonderful, helpful and friendly staff at Paignton to the quick and easy ferry crossing and the brilliant steamboat trip. Our captain on the steamboat was just amazing, so funny and full of brilliant facts and local knowledge.
  • So organised - So well organised. All had seat reservations and the coaches were extremely clean. The river cruise did not disappoint and without doubt one of the best commentaries I have ever heard. Without exception everyone enjoyed the day out, and thought it was the highlight of our holiday. A credit to all.
