Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle Regatta cruise

Join the Paddle Steamer Kingswear Castle on Regatta Saturday 2025 for a unique opportunity to welcome the the very last sea-going paddle steamer in the world - herself a unique vessel being the last coal-fired paddle steamer in the world.
KC, as she is affectionately called, will sail from Dartmouth at 15:35 on 30th August for a round trip cruise and will sail the lower reaches of the Dart before sailing out to the mouth of the Dart to meet Waverley on her entrance to the river after sailing from Torquay. Waverley starts her day sailing the south Devon coast from Plymouth to Teignmouth, Dawlish and Torbay. She will drop in at Torquay to embark passengers from this wonderful port town for the first time since the 1980's!
Tickets can be purchased for the KC cruise from our Dartmouth kiosk or at our Paignton Queen's Park Station in Paignton (Adult £25; Child £20). Enquiries via telephone on 01803555872. - Great!! - We all had such a fantastic day out. From the wonderful, helpful and friendly staff at Paignton to the quick and easy ferry crossing and the brilliant steamboat trip. Our captain on the steamboat was just amazing, so funny and full of brilliant facts and local knowledge.

- Chugging along! - The cruise along the River Dart was delightful and the witty commentary was also very informative. The last leg on the steam train was fantastic - chugging along past the beautiful beaches with children waving to you from the sands. Just priceless! We had the most amazing day, the itinerary is done with military precision and is therefore relaxing and exciting - we really loved it. This has got to be a "must do" trip!
