Sidmouth Folk Festival Week
On 31st July 2026 to 7th August 2026 Sidmouth Town
The first Sidmouth Folk Festival took place in 1955 and every August since then tens of thousands of visitors have flocked to this beautiful coastal town to sample some wonderfully diverse musical offerings. The festival now extends to a whole week with well known stars, new talent, major concerts and smaller gatherings all jostling for your attention.
The streets and music venues are full of atmosphere and the holidaymakers and locals mingle together throughout the town to create a fantastic summer event mood and character.

- Fantastic trip - Booked this trip beforehand due to current circumstances. Good pricing, beautiful scenery on the journey, easy to get off & get the ferry straight over. Cruise down the river was also lovely.
- Excellent trip out - On recommendation from our hotel in Torquay we booked this and we were not disappointed. Steam train then ferry over to Dartmouth + a lovely river cruise for an hour included. We will visit again.
- At last! - Went by steam train and ferry to Dartmouth on the last day of our holiday. Beautiful. Lovely journey on the steam train and the ferry was also a very pleasant trip. Spent a couple of hours in Dartmouth before repeating the journey. So glad I have managed to do it at last!
