HRA Award

We were proud to be nominated (and win!) the Heritage Railway Association (HRA) award for outstanding tourist attraction of theyear 2021 for the pioneering and enterprising way in which we (as a major heritage line and tourism attraction) worked against the clock to break vast amounts of new ground in readiness for the resumption of summer services following the lifting of the first Covid-19 lockdown on 6th July 2020.

- Sunny days - The river cruise was a delight, such a fun and knowledgeable crew member giving the commentary, really is a must if visiting the area.
- Trip back in time - What a fantastic experience. The train ride from Paignton is a gentle trip with stunning views. Arriving in Kingswear you can almost imagine how people in days gone by must have felt. A short ferry ride takes you into Dartmouth which is a stunning little town.
- An enjoyable day! - Had a wonderful day riding on the steam railway and a boat trip along the River Dart. Excellent scenery along the coast. The ferry was quick and efficient.
