HRA Award

We were proud to be nominated (and win!) the Heritage Railway Association (HRA) award for outstanding tourist attraction of theyear 2021 for the pioneering and enterprising way in which we (as a major heritage line and tourism attraction) worked against the clock to break vast amounts of new ground in readiness for the resumption of summer services following the lifting of the first Covid-19 lockdown on 6th July 2020.

- Harry Potteresque - Once on the platform we boarded the train (covid restrictions applied) and stepped back in time and themes of Harry Potters Hogwarts express sprang to mind! Brilliant!
- Perfect day - We have done this several times over the years and is a fantastic day out. The steam train ride is great, but the cruise makes it. The commentary is very good and funny. Would definitely recommend this trip if in the area.
- Trip back in time - What a fantastic experience. The train ride from Paignton is a gentle trip with stunning views. Arriving in Kingswear you can almost imagine how people in days gone by must have felt. A short ferry ride takes you into Dartmouth which is a stunning little town.
