HRA Award

We were proud to be nominated (and win!) the Heritage Railway Association (HRA) award for outstanding tourist attraction of theyear 2021 for the pioneering and enterprising way in which we (as a major heritage line and tourism attraction) worked against the clock to break vast amounts of new ground in readiness for the resumption of summer services following the lifting of the first Covid-19 lockdown on 6th July 2020.

- Brilliant day - Very pleasant day out, VERY well organised and friendly teams (train and ferry, especially in social distancing times). Would do it again and add the boat cruise.

- What a great trip! - A lovely time was had on this trip on the train itself and then river boat - we had the river trip on the paddler which was just perfect - a coal fired train and a coal fired boat! Enjoy.
