HRA Award

We were proud to be nominated (and win!) the Heritage Railway Association (HRA) award for outstanding tourist attraction of theyear 2021 for the pioneering and enterprising way in which we (as a major heritage line and tourism attraction) worked against the clock to break vast amounts of new ground in readiness for the resumption of summer services following the lifting of the first Covid-19 lockdown on 6th July 2020.

The river cruise did not disappoint and without doubt one of the best commentaries I have ever heard. Without exception everyone enjoyed the day out, and thought it was the highlight of our holiday. - An A+ family experience! - >Excellent time< We arrived at the station to friendly welcome and were greeted by a jolly bloke who gave us an upgrade to a cabin on our own which made us feel like Harry Potter! He gave us lots of info about timings and what amount of time we had been given to allow us to make sure we got back okay. A great time.
