Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta

Here at the Dartmouth Steam Railway, we are running additional trains on Regatta Saturday, 31st August. Extra trains depart Paignton at 18:00, 19:45 and 21:00 with returning trains from Kingswear at 18:40, 20:20 and 22:00. This last departure leaves you plenty of time to watch the fireworks and catch the ferry back to Kingswear for your return journey.

- What a great trip! - A lovely time was had on this trip on the train itself and then river boat - we had the river trip on the paddler which was just perfect - a coal fired train and a coal fired boat! Enjoy.
- Great!! - We all had such a fantastic day out. From the wonderful, helpful and friendly staff at Paignton to the quick and easy ferry crossing and the brilliant steamboat trip. Our captain on the steamboat was just amazing, so funny and full of brilliant facts and local knowledge.
- A big thumbs up... - A great time was had by all. The staff were really friendly and great at explaining. We took the steam train then hopped onto the boat where we spent some time in Dartmouth. It's a lovely touch that even the dog gets a ticket. The views from the steam train were so pretty the train and boat were both very clean and comfortable. A big thumbs up from us!
