Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta

Here at the Dartmouth Steam Railway, we are running additional trains on Regatta Saturday, 31st August. Extra trains depart Paignton at 18:00, 19:45 and 21:00 with returning trains from Kingswear at 18:40, 20:20 and 22:00. This last departure leaves you plenty of time to watch the fireworks and catch the ferry back to Kingswear for your return journey.

- Sights and smells - Cannot beat the smell and sound of a steam locomotive, a very scenic ride firstly along the beach, then along the river Dart. A couple of hours in Dartmouth then all aboard for trip back.
- A great day out - The railway is fantastic and all the staff were very kind, polite and only to happy to give any assistance necessary. Can't wait to do it all again but with the grandchildren next time. Thank you to all the staff.
- Atmospheric steam train - We took the steam train from Paignton to Kingswear and then the ferry to Dartmouth (inc in the ticket). It was a trip back in time and most enjoyable, despite the very rainy weather! Good value for money.
