Head of Steam is alongside the platform and next to the gift shop area.
We serve piping hot coffee and other beverages, sandwiches and snacks, locally made cakes and biscuits and are all here to tempt you. Buy your picnic here before you board the train!

'Belle Bistro' at Kingswear Station
The 'Belle Bistro' serves wonderful home made cakes (including yummy chocolate brownies), mouth-watering cream teas and snacks - available all day. Maybe try one of the delicious speciality coffees too. 'Belle Bistro' uses locally sourced produce and we are proud to be members of 'Devon Food and Drink'. A selection of gifts are available.'

- Trip back in time - What a fantastic experience. The train ride from Paignton is a gentle trip with stunning views. Arriving in Kingswear you can almost imagine how people in days gone by must have felt. A short ferry ride takes you into Dartmouth which is a stunning little town.
- Lovely day out - We decided on a steam train and boat ride day. The train was lovely, and the boat ride was a lot of fun with an entertaining guide, which one of my teenage daughters found hilarious!
- Steam train - Great little day out - highly recommended. The boat trip up the dart was very good with the captain guiding us and the steam train was great for kids too.
